Keyboard Shortcuts

With these shortcuts you can build your page faster than ever. These keyboard shortcuts will save lots of your clicks and time.

Mac (	Windows (	Description
`⌘ + s`	`Ctrl + s`	Save your changes. If you are settings modal it will save and close the modal.
`⌘ + p`	`Ctrl + p`	Open new preview window or reload existing preview window
`⌘ + shift + p`	`Ctrl +shift + p`	Save changes and open/reload preview window

Updating

When a new version comes out you will see a update notification message on every Quix page. You can update Quix to latest version by clicking the Update button. But, you need to provide ThemeXpert username and autk key to the Quix Auth Settings page.

Generate Auth Key

Head over to ThemeXpert members dashboard page and click Generate new key button if you haven't already.

Quix Auth Settings

Go to Quix > Pages menu and click yellow Authenticate button. Input your ThemeXpert username and Auth Key on the modal window and press Save & Close button.

Now you will be able to update Quix from Joomla backend

Installing Quix

Installing Quix is pretty simple and straight forward process. You can install it like any other Joomla extensions.

Head over to Quix page https://www.themexpert.com/quix-pagebuilder and order your prefered version. After you complete your order you can download Quix from download page

Step 1

In Joomla administration, go to menu Extensions > Manage > Install and select Upload package file.

There are different ways to install Quix from here :

Install from Web - Select an extension listed on the Joomla! Extension Directory.
Upload Package File - Select a package from your PC, upload and install it.
Install from Directory - Enter the path where the package is located on your webserver.
Install from URL - Enter the URL to the package.

Step 2

Click Choose file button and select Quix package file from your computer. Press Upload & Install button.

You will see installation successful message and you are all set.

You will see a success message after successfull installation.

We designed Quix from ground up so you can build beautiful layouts with ease. Quix unique layout controls allow you to create complex site faster.

You can create pages from Quix's component interface or articles, modules and 3pd extensions. Let's take a look component pages first:

Collections

The Quix Collection is your swiss army knife. Here you can store your favorite layouts, sections or rows later use. Whenever you save an item to your Quix Collection, you can access it quickly from the builder, Joomla articles or any 3rd party components interface. Save yourself hours of design time by creating collections of your favorite element and layout combinations. Every collection item provides a shortcode, and you can just copy and paste it anywhere inside Joomla.

Quix Collection is designed to make your website design faster and re-use every part of your site.

Elements

Elements are the visual building blocks that make up your website. Every element that Quix has can fit into any column width comes with complete design settings, and they are all full responsive.

Options

Enable Dev Mode - This option is for developer and you should turned if off for production environment. By enabling this feature, all backend and front-end caching will be disable for faster development.

Component Support - From this option you can select which component collection will work.

Only enable the component you are using. By enabling component not installed on your site may slow down your site.

The Quix does have some system requirements. Listed below are those requirements broken down into their distinct groups:

It is strongly recommended that you always use the latest stable version of Joomla to ensure all known bugs and security issues are addressed. At the time this document was written, 3.5 is the latest stable version of Joomla. Quix will only function properly on Joomla 3.4.2 and higher.[/ui-tab]

Quix is built in such a way that it can works any secure and modern server environment. Minimum requirements are:

PHP 5.6.31+
PHP extension : cURL enabled
PHP extension : ctype enabled
PHP GD Library : Yes
PHP Magic Quotes GPC : Disabled
PHP memory_limit : 64M
post_max_size & max_upload_size : 10M
max_execution_time : 300
MySQL Version : 5.6.37

Browser Requirements

Preferred requirements for the back-end administration of Quix are-
